Diane presents its large campervan It's a 2023 Ford Ranger 4x4, 170 hp (Diesel) bought new this winter and with which I've already done a few road trips. It's particularly comfortable (you stand upright inside): a static double bed with storage space underneath (you can also fit a third single berth thanks to the bench seat at the front). It has plenty of drawers and storage space, a gas cooker and a sink. It also has a small bathroom with shower, small removable sink and toilet (115 litres of cold or hot water) + an inside table (which can be set up outside) with bench seat and fridge. You'll also have two folding camping chairs for outside use.
In terms of autonomy, it's powered by a lithium battery that recharges when you're on the move, and by a solar panel installed on the roof (so there's little chance of running out of electricity!).
It's great fun to drive and has a reversing camera. Its big plus, in my opinion, is that it's 4x4 (off-road - if you're careful, of course), which means you can cover the 500 tricky metres between you and the spot of your dreams, which you wouldn't have been able to do in a caravan, for example!
There are no particular problems, apart from the fact that when it's very hot, if you don't empty the dirty water tank regularly (and if you don't block the sinks), odours can rise. It doesn't have a canopy either (at the moment I just use a canvas canopy). The sensor that indicates the remaining water level can also have a few bugs (indicating 0% when there's still water in the tank, for example) but the problem is in the process of being corrected. It's also quite high (2.70m) so you have to take that into account (branches, barriers, etc.), but that's the price you pay for being able to stand upright inside it :)
I've had some unforgettable road trip experiences with it, and I'm sure you will too!
If you wish, I can collect you from Bordeaux train station or airport, located not far from the pick-up address.
