Silke Supriya's Coach-built motorhome

This is Didi, my beloved mobile home. He‘s with me since October 2023 and carried me safely and very reliable through 6 countries last winter.

He has space for 4 people, a double bed over the drivers cabin and 2 bunk beds in the rear, which are also suitable for adults. I never tried to lower the dinette and as you need also some extra pieces to create the bed there, I would only make him available for 4 people to keep it simple.

He comes fully equipped with bedding and a good equipped kitchen. Please bring your own towels. There is a 3 flame gas stove and the fridge works on 12V, 230V and gas.

The bathroom has a Thedford toilet and a separate shower.

The board battery is new and charged by a solar panel. Together with a 100l water tank, this makes you quite independent.

He is equipped with a bicycle rack for 3 bicycles.

Didi is an older boy, he is by now 20 years old and like all older people there are little hick ups, but minor stuff…please asked me about it if it concerns you. I’m anyway more than happy to answer questions if you need more information.

He has an extra security door lock and mosquito netting on all windows. He doesn’t has AC but 2 roof windows, of which one has a van going in both directions, means pulling air either out or bringing fresh air in. He also has gas heating.

There is an awning and you will get chairs and a table for outside.

There is no TV

He has a 2.8 Turbo Diesel motor, which lets him travel with some ease.

Gas is included in the rate except for the heating period. He is equipped with a fixed gas bottle system, which can be refilled on any petrol station which offers GPL. This makes gas very cheap and in the heating period ( spring and autumn) I will deliver him with the gas tank filled and would like him back with a filled gas tank.

I live a bit remote, so I ‘m fine to come to Donoratico to deliver him or pick you up at Pisa airport ( on your Diesel charge) if you bring me back to Monteverdi Marittimo afterwards. But you can also come by car and park it in front of my house if you want.

If you are allergic with animal hair, he’s not for you. Sure, he will come cleaned and tidy but I do have 2 cats and 2 dogs and even with washed blankets etc. , my experience is that people with a strong allergy still can react…I had a B&B, so saying this comes from experience …

No pets please ( also out of experience…)

And finally: I’m really quite fond of him and renting a car or mobile home is always a certain risk because you never know how someone else is treating it. If they are gentle with the motor, if they treat its interior nicely….But as keeping him well, involves also quite some costs, I decided to lend him to others too, hoping that they are able to enjoying him as much as I do while being gentle…

He’s 6.50m long, 2,30m wide and about 3m high and weighs full up to 3.4 tons.
