It is possible to tow a trailer with the vehicle you hire, provided that the gross permissible vehicle weight does not exceed 3.5 tonnes.
The insurance contract offered (which differs from country to country) generally insures the vehicle in accordance with the following general insurance conditions:
- The vehicle must not exceed 3.5 T
- The vehicle and the trailer must not exceed 3.5 T in total
- The trailer must not exceed a maximum permissible gross vehicle weight of 750 kg.
In the event that a trailer is towed by the vehicle hired, only the vehicle will be covered by the insurance if any damage occurs during the rental period. The trailer will not be covered.
