What happens in the event of a cancellation?

All cancellations must be processed via your profile under My Trips > Review my Booking > Edit or Cancel.


  • If you have opted for the cancellation insurance:

You can request, via your online profile, a full refund of the rental except for the amount paid for the cancellation insurance, any extensions added to the reservation after confirmation minus the excess related to cancellation insurance.

Cancellation insurance applies if an unforeseeable event, defined under the cancellation insurance terms, occurs to one of the participants of the rental or to a family member (up to the 2nd degree), written proof required.

  • If you have not opted for the cancellation insurance:

In the event of a cancellation 30 days or more before the rental of the vehicle: If the rental request was issued before 02 May 2024: you will be refunded 70% of the cost of the rental, excluding insurance and service charges.
If the rental request was issued after 02 May 2024: you will be refunded 95% of the cost of the rental, excluding insurance and service charges.

In the event of a cancellation less than 30 days before the day of departureNo refund is possible, the full amount of the transaction is to be paid.

In the event of cancellation within 24 hours after confirmation of the reservation: you may claim a full refund of the rental (minus cancellation insurance costs), except in the case where the start of the rental is scheduled within 24 hours of confirmation; in which case no refund is possible.

In case of force majeure, it is possible to cancel your stay up to 48 hours before departure. To consult the eligible reasons and the terms of reimbursement, we invite you to consult our dedicated page.

If you wish to postpone the rental dates, we invite you to speak with the owner beforehand then to indicate to us by email, with the owner in copy, the postponement dates. We will make the change later. Postponement of dates is free of charge with the agreement of the owner, subject to a maximum of 2 postponements per rental.

If the owner has cancelled your booking, due to a breakdown, for example, you may ask for a reimbursement of the cost of the booking, minus what was paid for the cancellation insurance.

As a reminder, if you have chosen to pay for your booking in 2 installments you are not exempt from paying the entire rental in the event of cancellation within 30 days of departure.
